SMALL SHIPMENTS REGIME
Resolution on Small Shipments (RG3916/16). This regulation adds an additional import benefit for individuals and legal entities: door-to-door import of certain items that are usually held by courier. It is limited to 5 shipments per year per CUIT. The declared value of these shipments cannot exceed USD 1000 or a weight of 50 kg, nor can they contain more than 3 units of the same type.

The aforementioned resolution establishes that the export and import amounts of merchandise by companies authorized and registered as Postal Services Providers (PSPs)/Couriers were equalized, setting it at US$3,000 FOB (Free on Board). In addition, the number of annual shipments remains at five. Said resolution establishes that Postal Services Providers (PSPs)/Couriers may request import or export for consumption in a simplified manner, provided that: a) The FOB value of the merchandise to be exported does not exceed US$3,000 for each sender of the shipment.However, this amount may be exceeded when the shipments are addressed to different recipients and each of them does not exceed US$1,000. b) The FOB value of the merchandise to be imported does not exceed US$3,000 for each recipient.
